It is a pleasure to introduce the Southwest Washington Scottish Highlanders Association. I am Robert, the Brave & Bold, Co-Founder, Trustee, and the current President of Southwest Washington Scottish Highlanders Association abbreviated "SWSHA" pronounced "Swish ah".

Relatively new to the Highland-Caledonian Associations network, we were formed, born from the desire to return to the nostalgia, excitement and renewed interest of our Scottish and Celtic origins but with some of the flair of today. Since our beginnings, interest and participation in the Association is growing at phenomenal rates exceeding all expectations.

NEW GENERATIONS

Youth in North America are part of the melting-pot result of the generations of migrating peoples from around the world.

Sadly, knowledge of ancestry and heritage of these generations has faded becoming endangered and be leading cause to the somewhat destructive natures of the today's generations instead of the hope for a future. They have floundered in their search for origins - who they are and from whom they have come.

We are strong advocates of the clans and encourage all to join in the membership of your respective Clans. These fellowships are good resources for your genealogical searches, family histories, and general studies on Celtic traditions. Many of the Clan associations host their own events throughout the year.

We hope you will seriously and sincerely consider joining us. Your participation is a worthy and noble investment into the past, present, and future. We believe your involvement will be a continual and mutual benefit to both of us.
